The European Parliament Heart Group

ESC Advocacy works closely with the Members of the European Parliament (MEP) Heart Group of which it provides the secretariat, jointly with the European Heart Network.

The MEP Heart Group is a group in the European Parliament dedicated to promoting measures that will help reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease in the European Union and raise heart health as a priority on the EU agenda.

The objectives of the MEP Heart Group

The MEP Heart Group:

provides Members of the European Parliament with a platform to generate dialogue, outreach and activities on cardiovascular health.
acts as a “hub” for exchange between stakeholders of experience, information, and data on cardiovascular disease
drives the development of political initiatives for the promotion and prevention of cardiovascular disease
