Council's Objectives

  • Supporting fundamental research into Valvular Heart Disease (VHD)
  • Develop knowledge about VHD among cardiologists and non-cardiologists
  • Improve the management of VHD, from screening to treatment.


The creation of the ESC Council on Valvular Heart Disease has been voted at the ESC General Assembly on 2 September 2024.
