The case
- Male patient, 59 year-old, with ishaemic heart disease, angina, history of myocardial infarction presented at the hospital with the development of chronic heart failure (CHF)
- History of smoking, stopped after the myocardial infarction
- Parents had atherosclerosis and stroke
- Normal weight
- Normal BP before development of CHF
- No tendon xanthomas or arcus
- Normal glucose levels
- Total cholesterol 9.83 mmol/l, Triglycerides 1.58 mmol/l, LDL-C 7.93 mmol/l, HDL-C 1.18 mmol/l
