EACVI Task Force - Women in Cardiovascular Imaging

The Women in CV Imaging Task Force is an initiative within the EACVI connecting EACVI Members interested in promoting women's representation both in the career setting and leadership roles, as well as in clinical research development regarding CV diseases in women which are different from men’s in many subsets.

Aims of the task force

  • Enhance the careers of women imaging cardiologists by creating opportunities for:
    • Training and professional development
    • Networking programmes
    • Promotion of leadership skills
    • Scientific development
  • Attract women as fellows in CV imaging by promoting effective career opportunities.
  • Ensure the parity for women CV imagers, namely in leadership roles and equality compensation.
  • Promote and support scientific projects for studying women with CV diseases through imaging, which present differences in prevalence, diagnosis and prognosis of an important number of conditions and in addition are often under-represented in clinical trials
  • Create workshops and education sessions with the topic of CV disease imaging in women
