We are always looking for new members to join our ESC Patient Forum. Below you find information on how you can join. Commonly asked questions and their answers can also be found in our leaflet.
What we offer
- Various opportunities to engage with other communities of healthcare professionals and bring in a patient’s perspective to activities such as clinical practice guidelines, committees, congresses, webinars and podcasts, scientific publications and patient perspective articles. See also 'What we do'.
- A monthly call and regular expert lectures on a broad range of cardiovascular topics, specifically for ESC Patient Forum members.
- Trainings in storytelling, presenting, Power Point.
- Travel expenses fully covered.
What we expect
- Experience of cardiovascular disease as patient or caregiver.
- Be based in one of the 58 ESC member countries.
- Be proficient in English (working language of the ESC) – good verbal and written communication skills.
- Be able to travel within Europe and/or willingness to participate in virtual meetings.
- Not represent another patient organisation/association but involved in our Forum only in your personal capacity.
Not employed by or receiving significant remuneration from health industry (ESC Declaration of Interest form must be completed annually).
How to apply
If you are interested in joining the ESC Patient Forum, please complete our application form. You will then be contacted by the ESC Patient Engagement Officer, usually within 1-2 weeks, to arrange an informal call to get to know you, provide more information about the ESC Patient Forum, and answer your questions.
