ESC Think Tank on Innovation

The future of cardiology practice beyond 2030

Purpose

The overarching goal of the think tank group is to recommend actions to the ESC board on how to best prepare the Cardiology workforce and ESC Organisation for the likely future changes in the practice of cardiology and CV research.

The Think Tank on Innovation was created in 2022 to analyse future challenges and identify opportunities for cardiology and the ESC due to digital transformation and biomedical innovations. By indicating the main drivers for a change (science, technology, patients, medical professions and healthcare business), it attempts to identify key challenges resulting from these predicted changes and to propose specific measures and actions for the ESC.
