Every year in summer, the ESC Working Group on Cardiac Cellular Electrophysiology organises their three-day EWGCCE Meeting.
The meeting gathers young researchers and high-level international experts in cardiac cells and provides an overview of topical issues in signalling, ion channels, arrhythmias, as well as models and techniques at experimental and clinical levels. The meeting also features the Carmeliet-Coraboeuf-Weidman keynote lecture, awarded to individuals who have made an exceptional contribution to the field of cardiac cellular electrophysiology.
It is also the opportunity for young investigators and early career scientists to present their results on ongoing experiments and to receive acknowledgement. 12 awards are indeed given for oral presentations and six for poster presentations. They help young researchers to attend the meeting and to share their scientific outcomes with international experts in the field.
