Nomination of EAPC Young Ambassadors

Preventive Cardiology

Young Ambassadors represent the EAPC Young Community in their respective countries and are the main point of contact for young healthcare professionals in preventive cardiology there.

In addition to expanding the community of young researchers in the field of preventive cardiology, Young Ambassadors communicate the needs and interests of their national peers to the EAPC. They also help spread the word about EAPC initiatives and scientific activities at the national level.

Young Ambassadors are nominated for a 2-year mandate with the possibility to extend their mandate for two additional years upon validation by the EAPC President, for a total of 4 years.

The candidates

We are looking for highly motivated candidates who will commit to:

  • Promoting the EAPC Young Community and its activities
  • Facilitating the access of young physicians in their country to international educational and training opportunities offered by the EAPC

  • Attend and actively participate in regular conference calls (once every two months)
  • Participate in the Young Community and EAPC activities at annual congresses (ESC Congress and/or ESC Preventive Cardiology)
  • Establish relationships/partnerships with national young groups, universities, and hospitals (with a particular focus on students and residents) to promote preventive cardiology with the support of EAPC Staff
  • Provide a report (once every six months) on their activities as Young Ambassador. The first report is due 6 months after the start of the mandate.

As a Young Ambassador you will:

  • Be a protagonist in the effort to connect young members of the EAPC, offering them opportunities for professional and educational growth
