The candidates
We are looking for highly motivated candidates who will commit to:
- Promoting the EAPC Young Community and its activities
- Facilitating the access of young physicians in their country to international educational and training opportunities offered by the EAPC
- Establishing a national network of young cardiologists in their country who are interested in preventive cardiology
Young Ambassadors should be able to:
- Attend and actively participate in regular conference calls (once every two months)
- Participate in the Young Community and EAPC activities at annual congresses (ESC Congress and/or ESC Preventive Cardiology)
- Establish relationships/partnerships with national young groups, universities, and hospitals (with a particular focus on students and residents) to promote preventive cardiology with the support of EAPC Staff
- Provide a report (once every six months) on their activities as Young Ambassador. The first report is due 6 months after the start of the mandate.
As a Young Ambassador you will:
- Be a protagonist in the effort to connect young members of the EAPC, offering them opportunities for professional and educational growth
- Gain visibility with your peers, nationally and internationally
- Meet with EAPC leaders
- Enhance your professional network
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be:
- A healthcare professional
- Under the age of 40 at the time of the application
- An EAPC active Ivory, Silver or Gold Member
Requirements & Application
Applications must be submitted online. Please note that applications received by email will not be accepted. Applications will be reviewed by the YC Core Group and the final selections will be made by the EAPC President.
The following information and documents (in English) are required for the online application:
- Personal information: title, name, country, age, and email address
- Career stage
- Motivation letter including (past or present) contributions to the EAPC, what the candidate intends to achieve as Young Ambassador and experience, if any, in associations.
- Curriculum vitae
- Optional: an endorsement letter from the candidate’s national professional society will be considered an asset
