The ESC Scientific Document Policy serves as a blueprint to guide all ESC volunteers in the writing and publication process of official documents published on behalf of ESC Associations, Councils and Working Groups.
The ESC is committed to ensuring clear and transparent policies for all its activities. The policy provides guidance on process and timelines linked to the production of official documents and ensures that documents published on behalf of ESC Associations, Councils and Working Groups meet the highest standards of scientific publishing.
Additionally, the policy aims to improve the visibility of our communities’ work through the creation of a comprehensive publication programme, ensuring that all major aspects of cardiovascular care are covered with targeted scientific documents that effectively complement ESC Clinical Practice Guidelines.
The policy concerns all ESC volunteers wishing to write, or asked to contribute to, a document that expresses the views and positions of the ESC and its Associations, Councils and Working Groups.
The policy is in effect under the oversight of the Scientific Documents Committee, a sub-committee of the Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee.
