A few words from the EAPC President, Ana Abreu

Preventive Cardiology
Rehabilitation and Sports Cardiology
Risk Factors and Prevention

The EAPC is celebrating its 20-year anniversary in 2024, which for me makes my role as 2024-2026 EAPC President even more meaningful. The accomplishments of our association have impacted preventive cardiology worldwide and I consider it a privilege to have been entrusted with leading our efforts in prevention over the next two years.

My vision is focused on five areas:

  • Implementation of ESC Guidelines; the optimal management of risk factors
  • Education: strengthening the EAPC educational offer
  • Communication: development of skills training for Health Care Professionals
  • Innovation: validation of SCORE2 outside Europe; increasing our social media footprint
  • Connection with international societies for professionals in our field

If you are enthusiastic about Preventive Cardiology, I actively invite you to join our community and participate in our activities: submitting abstracts to our congress, attending our courses, taking the Certification exam, participating in webinars.

I look forward to meeting you in Milan next April for ESC Preventive Cardiology 2025!

Ana Abreu
EAPC President 2024-2026
