In application of the country and local safety regulations, entrance into the onsite event premises may be subject to health checks as required.
Delegates agree to comply with COVID-19 health and safety measures and protocols established for the event for attendance as well as applicable State and local requirements, such as wearing approved face covering, maintaining appropriate social distance from others, wash hands frequently (or use suitable sanitizing alternative).
RISE @ESC Congress 2024 is only accessible to certified healthcare professionals, associated press, healthcare industry representatives and other stakeholders involved in the science, management, and prevention of cardiovascular disease. Non-healthcare professionals, including infants and children under the age of 18, will not be able to access the Congress area.
The ESC recognises that it is challenging for parents with children under 18 to attend the congress. A childcare service will be available, childcare is not included in the congress registration fee, so a nominal charge will be payable by delegates making use of this service.
Your registration to RISE @ ESC Congress 2024 includes access to:
- Access to all sessions during the full day conference event
- Meals, including continental breakfast, buffet lunch, and two coffee breaks with light snacks
- Admission to the post-conference reception to include cocktails and hors d’oeuvres
- Full-colour programme with conference agenda and speaker details
- Attendee tote bag with conference materials
Payment and General Conditions
All registration fees are quoted in Euro (€) and include 20% British VAT. Payment in any other currency will not be accepted.
Invoices with an address in the European Union should be provided with a VAT Number. The invoicing address and VAT number can only be set up during the registration process.
Healthcare companies or third-party agencies cannot create a delegate “My ESC account” to register their delegates.
Changes cannot be made to an invoice following a purchase through the My ESC account. An invoice to an individual cannot be transferred to an organisation after payment. To avoid disappointment, please check the Billing details carefully before payment. If in doubt, contact us.
Payment of fees
Payment by Credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express) can be made through the online services on our secured server. For security reasons, under no circumstances should credit card details be sent by email or fax.
In case of additional payments for extra orders or adjustments, a secured payment link will be sent by email.
Registration fees rate is based on the date of receipt of the registration request. The prices indicated are only applicable if BOTH the registration request AND payment are received before midnight, Central European Time (GMT +1), on the relevant registration deadline date, otherwise, the higher registration fee will be applied.
Registrations will be acknowledged by email upon receipt of payment and a valid personal email address. Incomplete addresses or agency addresses will not be accepted and will result in the cancellation of the registration.
Active registrations are nominative and non-transferable.
Cancellation Conditions
Full Cancellation
Cancellation of a registration will be subject to the following conditions:
Until 31 July: refund of fee less an administrative charge of 30% of the original fee paid.
From 1 August: no refund.
Miscellaneous
Should a delegate not attend the event, for whatever reason, no further claims for reimbursement or waiving of fees can be made.
Modification of the programme
The ESC reserves the right to modify the RISE @ ESC Congress 2024 programme at any time, which is published as an indication only and subject to change.
No waiving of fees nor right to further claims will be possible should the ESC be obliged to alter the programme of RISE @ ESC Congress 2024.
Changes, postponement and cancellation
Given serious cause, the ESC is entitled to postpone (modify the dates), to curtail the duration, or to cancel the onsite event. In the event of complete or part postponement or curtailment, the registration is regarded as valid for a possible new date and new duration for the said onsite event.
If, due to any contingency that the ESC cannot overcome (in particular force majeure), both the onsite event and the online event have to be cancelled, registrations by individuals will be reimbursed in full. Apart from reimbursement of registration fees, delegates will not be entitled to compensation for any costs or damages incurred as a consequence of such event cancellation, change or postponement. For example, no compensation will be due for costs related to housing and travel arrangements.
All delegates are urged to take personal travel insurance.
Liability disclaimer
The European Society of Cardiology (ESC) will not be liable for any theft or damage to property and/or persons caused on site during the congress, by any factor whatsoever, unless there has been a fault, intent or deliberate recklessness on the part of European Society of Cardiology (ESC). The European Society of Cardiology (ESC) shall not be held responsible in the congress of poisoning or food intoxication during the congress.
Data Privacy Statement

During the congress, attendees may be photographed and videoed by the ESC or its partners capturing the event. Some of these photographs or videos may be displayed by the ESC or its partners in future publications or materials connected with the event, as well as on social media. If you do not wish for your image to be displayed by the ESC, please go to the information desk or one of the registration desks on site during the congress to have a specific sticker added to your badge. Without contradictory instructions from your side, you hereby grant the European Society of Cardiology the irrevocable right to record and use free of charge your image, voice, and name in photographs and videos in which you appear.

Please be aware that during the congress you will be scanned daily at the entrance for security reasons. When presenting your badge for scanning at an exhibition stand or during industry-sponsored sessions, the following personal data can be retrieved by the corresponding exhibitor or industry: title, first name, last name, email address, city, country, age scale, gender, profession, stage in career, primary specialty, place of work and main institution information.
Delegates registered for Rise @ ESC Congress 2024
Your name and email address may also be shared with Women As One (the non-governmental institution co-organising the event RISE @ ESC Congress 2024) for the purposes of managing your attendance to the event, and ensuring you receive relevant communications. To safeguard this transfer of personal data outside the European Union, the ESC and Women as One have signed the standard contractual clauses provided by the European Commission.
The recipients of the data are ESC Staff managing the Congress and the registration process. The data collected will be kept for a maximum of 5 years after your last transaction or activity with us after which time your My ESC account will be closed and financial transactions will be kept for a maximum of 10 years for legal accounting purposes. Additionally, please be aware that your profile information and details will be shared with the sponsor of the Industry Session, Tutorial or Exhibition you choose to view. When accessing an Industry Session, Tutorial or Exhibition, the following data will be shared with the corresponding industry: title, first name, last name, email address, city, country, age scale, gender, profession, stage in career, primary specialty, place of work and main institution information - such as entered in your My ESC account. The respective company may contact you directly for its own purposes (e.g. by email concerning products, services and events that may be of interest to you) More information is available in ESC Privacy and Data Security Policy.
In accordance with the chapter 3 of the European Regulation 2016/679 with regards to data protection, you have the right to request from ESC, access to and rectification or erasure of your personal data or restriction of processing concerning your data or to object to processing as well as the right to data portability. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, and for information, ESC has appointed a Data Protection Officer that you can reach at dpo@escardio.org
Applicable Law and Litigation
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with French law without regard to any conflicts of laws principles thereof that would require the application of the law of any other jurisdiction. Any disputes arising in relation hereto shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French Tribunal Judiciaire located in Grasse, France.
