Dear Members,
We are confronted with a different situation as last year, where we had strong hope that the start of large vaccination campaigns would open our societies quickly, we had to learn, adapt again, and have science-driven data now better define the next steps. Although COVID infections still dictate many news items, we must continue our other pandemic fights towards cardiovascular disease.
Your contributions and membership are really important for our connections and vital to the progress in our field. As you might have experienced, regulations have recently changed, and a formal renewal of your working group membership is needed since 31 December 2021. Please go via the provided emails or directly to your “My Account, Membership tab” to manage your membership and to remain informed by your working group and connected to the ESC scientific community.
As we all understand, improved basic insights are essential for the treatments of tomorrow’s patients, so with renewed energy we are organizing the next round of interactive sessions.
March 17, we are hosting an online TALK on “Induced-pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) technology for cardiac repair” on the latest insights and developments.
Moreover, we hope to see you all again at the Frontiers in CardioVascular Biomedicine (FCVB) 2022 congress in Budapest, Hungary from Friday 29 April to Sunday 1 May 2022. After not having a physical meeting for so long, we are looking forward to meet and interact and share latest insights with an inspiring program being established at this moment.
To have some exciting reading until then, we provide you here some interesting reads and translational results that will inspire us further.
On behalf of the Working Group nucleus,
Stefan Janssens, Chairperson 2020-2022
Joost Sluijter, Communication Coordinator 2020-2022
