A newly designed open room, the Agora, will host Rapid Fire Abstract Sessions in the Poster Area giving journalists fast access to the latest science. The press will get a comprehensive picture on topical issues in the new Advances in Science sessions which contain three novel studies plus two expert lectures covering the current state of research and future directions.

Nobel Prize laureate Professor Elizabeth H. Blackburn will take part in a session on cardiac biology and senescence. The media can expect good quotes and personal anecdotes in the Meet the Legends sessions with Keith Fox, Richard Popp and Michel Haisaguerre, who will all receive the ESC Gold Medal this year.
