Objectives and target audience
This level is aimed at arrhythmia specialists intending to take a key leadership role in the field. Participants will be equipped with skills in leadership, management, and innovation, culminating in a Certificate of Advanced Studies from Maastricht University with the option to obtain a diploma for those wiling to invest time in overarching assignments, as well as an optional path to completing a PhD.
Format
Each module has the following format: a preparatory phase (~20 hours, self-learning), 2.5 days of in-person training (25 hours) and an evaluation phase (10 hours).
The format of the course comprises small-group teaching, lectures, hands-on training, team projects and interaction with European leaders in their field.
Four co-designed educational modules and one introductory session will be delivered by EHRA and Maastricht University.

- Module 2: How to organise an arrhythmia unit – Nice (FR) - 25-28 January 2025
- Module 3: Multidisciplinary care in cardiac arrhythmia management - Maastricht (NL) - 17-20 May 2025
- Module 4: Trials, Guidelines and Policy - Maastricht (NL) - 20-23 September 2025
Participants will be invited to the EHRA Summit.
All participants will receive a certificate.
For those wishing to obtain a diploma, more information will be provided here before the application deadline.
Selection criteria
Mandatory
- EHRA Member at the time of registration
- Holding EHRA certification (EP or CIED (CP) certification exam)
During the transition year, you can still apply to the programme even if you haven't yet taken the EHRA exams but plan to do so in 2024.
Strongly recommended
• Willingness to contribute to innovation in the field of cardiac arrhythmia management
• Having a demonstrable scientific interest
• Experience with executive responsibility
• Demonstrated interest in taking leadership roles
• Proficiency in English
• Willingness to commit the time required for both e-learning and in-person training
The Selection Committee will nominate 32 participants every year. The participation in previous EHRA courses, gender balance and geographical distribution will be taken into consideration.
Tuition Fee
The tuition fee for the EHRA Level 3 – Leadership and Innovation in Cardiac Arrhythmia Management programme (DAS-CAM) amounts to €2,500.
These costs include the tuition fees of all programme components, catering during the programme hours of the in-person parts of the modules, such as lunches, dinners during programme hours and coffee breaks.
The fee does not include accommodation, travel costs and dinners outside programme hours.
