EAPCI Journal club

A Project from the EAPCI Educational Content and Online Communications Committees

What is the EAPCI Journal Club

The EAPCI Journal Club is an online educational initiative focusing on analysis of the latest high-impact research. The credo of the EAPCI Journal Club is: #ForTheFellowsByTheFellows.

  • An early career interventional cardiologist presents an original research article, followed by key insights and critical appraisal of the paper from either the senior author of the paper or a recognised expert in the topic.
  • All sessions are moderated live with the audience participating in an interactive Q&A session.
  • The on-demand video will be available 24 hours after the event on ESC365 and the unique slidesets of the paper presentation and the the expert slideset is provided for the audience for free.

About the Initiative

Background

The EAPCI Journal Club was initiated by the 2022-2024 EAPCI Online & Communication Committee, under the lead of Erik Rafflenbeul (Committee Chair). This committee facilitates effective communication between the EAPCI and EAPCI Members.  The committee actively participates in managing the digital presence and communication strategies of the EAPCI aiming to disseminate information and engage the interventional cardiology community. The EAPCI Journal Club is a key strategy in engaging the community.

In view of its impact to educate the interventional community, The EAPCI Journal Club is now part of the EAPCI Educational Content, Webinars and Courses Committee, under the lead of Erik Rafflenbeul (Committee Chair).
