EAPCI Patient Initiative Committee survey on informed consent

The EAPCI Patient Initiative Committee conducted a survey on informed consent whose aim was to investigate variations in practice when consenting patients for invasive cardiac procedures across ESC member countries.

The preliminary results have shown that over 350 people responded from multiple countries across Europe, the United States, Asia and Australia.  Most respondents were involved in performing interventional procedures and 58% of respondents considered the process for taking informed consent in their institution to be above average or excellent. Further detailed analysis will follow.
