What you should know
Each Committee meets on average 4-6 times per year. Committee members should have relevant experience in the respective field of the committee and have time to commit to the activities of the committee.
You can find additional information on the missions and job descriptions of each committee's roles in the Terms of Reference for ACNAP Committees.

Application process

- Log in to your My ESC account to start your application.
- Download and complete the application document, and upload it to your application in PDF format.
- Deadline: 5 July 2024, 23:59 CEST
Your application will be reviewed by the relevant committee Chair. The final committee composition will be reviewed and approved by the incoming ACNAP President, Dr. Leonie Klompstra.
Successful applicants will be required to become ACNAP Silver Members (if not already the case) and have ACNAP Silver membership in good standing for the entire duration of the mandate.

Advocacy Committee
The purpose of the ACNAP Advocacy Committee is to speak up for cardiovascular patients and healthcare professionals, promoting patient-centred care, interdisciplinary working and shared decision making.

Communication Committee
The aim of the ACNAP Communication Committee is to communicate the vision and mission of ACNAP, highlight activities and relevant topics for nurses and allied professions, and to support the ESC with its communication strategies.

Congress Programme Committee (CPC)
The ACNAP Congress Programme Committee develops the scientific programme of the annual ACNAP congress.

Education Committee
The ACNAP Education Committee develops a year-long educational programme for ACNAP and the wider community of nurses and allied professionals.
The Education Committee aims to expand the ACNAP educational offer including creating innovative content and tools to gain recognition and appeal within the community as well as among potential audiences and members.

Membership & Communities Committee
The aim of the ACNAP Membership Committee is to profile ACNAP as the leading European association for nurses and allied professionals.
The Membership & Communities Committee is responsible for the development and promotion of the ACNAP membership offer for the worldwide community of nurses and allied professionals.

National Cardiovascular Nursing & Allied Professions Societies Committee
The National Cardiovascular Nursing & Allied Professions Societies Committee engages and develops activities and projects that aim to meet the needs of the cardiovascular nursing and allied professions societies in ACNAP's network.

Science Committee
The purpose of the Science Committee is to provide leadership and strategic direction for the ACNAP nursing and allied professions science agenda.

Young Community (YoCo) Committee
The ACNAP YoCo Committee's purpose is to be the voice and support of young nurses and allied professionals by creating a wide network within the cardiovascular scene. The Committee aims to provide the young community with the opportunity to connect with the wider ACNAP community, developing and empowering young cardiovascular professionals through clinical practice, education and research.
