Call for abstracts

ESC Acute CardioVascular Care 2025, Florence, 14 - 15 March

ESC Acute CardioVascular Care 2025 will be held in person in Florence, Italy. The congress programme committee is delighted to have the opportunity to reunite again with the Acute Cardiovascular community, so join us onsite to present your research!

The call for abstracts is now closed.

Mark your calendar with key dates

  • Thursday, 05 September 2024 - Opening abstract submissions
  • Thursday, 31 October 2024 – 12:00 noon CET - Abstracts submission deadline
  • Tuesday, 5 November 2024 - 12:00 noon CET - Extended abstract submission deadline
  • Early December 2024 - Abstracts results announcement online. An email will also be sent to each submitter.

Presentation formats

All presenters will be required to present their research onsite in Florence.

Selected abstracts will be assigned to different presentation formats:

Young Investigators Award Session (YIA)

One YIA session will be held onsite chaired by senior faculty members.

Each finalist will present the key points of his/her research followed by a Questions & Answers period led by a panel of experts who will judge the presentations and determine the winners and runners-up.

  • Submit in this category to benefit from:
    • All finalists: free registration to ESC Acute CardioVascular Care 2025 and an award certificate
    • Winner prize: €1,500, Association for Acute CardioVascular Care (ACVC) Silver Membership, and a free registration to ESC Acute CardioVascular Care 2026
    • Runner ups (2nd and 3rd position) prize: Association for Acute CardioVascular Care (ACVC) Silver Membership, and a free registration to ESC Acute CardioVascular Care 2026
  • Conditions:
    • Your abstract(s) must be submitted under the option “Young Investigators Award”
    • You must be the presenter of your abstract(s)
    • You must be under 40 years old at the time of presentation
  • Selection process: the selection committee will review the final top scoring abstracts to appoint the finalists. The selected abstracts will be presented to a jury in a dedicated session including a questions and answers section.

Abstracts not selected for a YIA session will be automatically considered for Moderated ePoster presentation or Paper Poster presentation.

Research Prize - Rewarding Excellence in Unpublished Research

One session dedicated to unpublished research in acute cardiovascular care with a focus on quality of care, clinical outcomes, or translational research applied to the development of novel therapeutic, diagnostic and logistical strategies to improve patient care and long-term outcomes.

  • Submit in this category to benefit from:
    • All finalists: free registration to ESC Acute CardioVascular Care 2025 and an award certificate
    • Winner prize: €1,500, Association for Acute CardioVascular Care (ACVC) Silver Membership, and a free registration to ESC Acute CardioVascular Care 2026
    • Runner ups (2nd and 3rd position) prize: Association for Acute CardioVascular Care (ACVC) Silver Membership, and a free registration to ESC Acute CardioVascular Care 2026
  • Conditions:
    • Your abstract(s) must be submitted under the option “Research Prize”
    • You must be the presenter of your abstract(s)
    • You must be an Acute Cardiovascular Care member
  • Selection process: the selection committee will review the final top scoring abstracts to appoint the finalists. The selected abstracts will be presented to a jury in a dedicated session including a questions and answers section.

Abstracts not selected for the Research Prize session will be automatically considered for Moderated ePoster presentation or Paper Poster presentation.

Moderated ePosters

The highest graded abstracts will be selected to be presented orally during dedicated Moderated ePoster sessions which will be held onsite moderated by senior faculty members.

Paper Posters

Abstracts selected as Posters will be displayed in a dedicated area onsite.
