Dear colleagues,
We take this opportunity to greet you and update you on our latest activities.
A new clinical consensus statement on the prevention of acquired cardiovascular disease in ACHD has been recently published in European Heart Journal. This is a collaboration of our Working group with the European Association of Preventive Cardiology and the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions, which we invite you to read to further reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease among this subgroup of patients.
Among our upcoming activities, EuroACHD 2024 will take place in London at Royal College of Physicians 15-16th April 2024, with ACHD Academy Echocardiography pre-meeting on the 14 April. We have prepared an attractive program that will include rapid-fire sessions, case-based symposia and debates that will allow intense interaction and in-depth discussion of ongoing questions in the field of ACHD. We believe this meeting will be extremely interesting, so we encourage you to come and actively participate with us. You can already send your abstracts - deadline is 5th February 2024.
Soon, we are organizing an on-line mentoring event in which we aim to promote the WG ACHD activities among fellows and young ACHD cardiologists, as well as know their opinions in a participatory way.
We continue to work tirelessly to improve care for patients with congenital heart disease.
