In 2009, the European Society of Cardiology established the EURObservational Research Programme (EORP) to provide a better understanding of medical practice based on observational studies with robust methodological procedures.
15 different cardiac topics have been addressed in 34 EORP registries, with a total of 102 participating countries over the world, and an average of 27 countries per registry. Overall, more than 4 000 centers participate in EORP registries and more than 180 000 patients have enrolled to date.
