The EHRA White Book 2017 is the tenth edition of a project that was launched in an attempt to understand the national realities with regard to treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.
Throughout the years the White Book has become a reference for those seeking information about electrophysiological procedures and implantation of cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) in Europe. No other publication provides such a comprehensive collection of data from 53 of the 56 member countries of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).
Moreover, the EHRA White Book contains valuable updated information about country demographics, key national healthcare and educational information, and reports about possible obstacles to ESC Guidelines implementation in each country.

The EHRA White Book has been made possible thanks to the coordinators, Prof Pekka Raatikainen and Dr David O. Arnar, all chairs of the EP Working Groups of the National Cardiac Societies (53 out of 56 countries provided their data for this year's edition), as well as EHRA staff at the European Heart House and BIOTRONIK.
To all of them goes our deepest gratitude and appreciation.
NEW this year: Since 2008, the EHRA White Book is a joint project between the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) and BIOTRONIK. To mark this 10th edition, an interactive website was designed especially for you to use it as a dynamic tool to display individual country data as well as to produce customised country comparisons on specific data.
