Purpose of ACVC Fellowship
In 2021, the Association for Acute CardioVascular Care introduced the title 'Fellow of the Association for Acute CardioVascular Care' (FACVC) as an honorary recognition of status for its most prominent members.
The title recognises ACVC Members who have made exceptional contributions to acute cardiac care, distinguishing themselves in clinical, educational, and organisational aspects of the field.

FACVC Qualifications
Candidates who wish to become a Fellow of the ACVC must:
- Be an ACVC Silver Member at the time of their application
- Have demonstrated excellence in at least one of the following domains:
- scientific excellence
- clinical excellence
- allied profession excellence
Candidates must submit:

- For scientific excellence option – A minimum of ten publications in peer-reviewed journals, of these, at least five publications with the applicant as first or last author (original articles, excluding editorials, reviews, case reports);
- For clinical and allied profession excellence – A minimum of three publications in peer-reviewed journals, of these, at least one with the applicant as first or last author (original articles, excluding editorials, reviews, case reports);
- A copy of academic diplomas (MD, PhD, or equivalent). Original document accepted;
- Two supporting letters – one supporting letter from either a president within their National Cardiac Society/working group and one supporting letter from an ACVC Board Member
- A short CV.
- For scientific excellence option – A minimum of ten publications in peer-reviewed journals, of these, at least five publications with the applicant as first or last author (original articles, excluding editorials, reviews, case reports);

Online application procedure
- All applications must be submitted by using our dedicated online system
- Newly-accepted Fellows of the ACVC will be informed by email in December
- The annual fellowship fee of €300 (incl. VAT) is due before 31 December
- Annual fellowship with its attendant privileges, benefits and duties, begins on 1 January
