Knowledge shared is knowledge squared

The ESC’s ability to represent all healthcare professionals and scientists involved in cardiology is undeniably a major factor in its strength and influence. With over 100,000 members, the ESC makes sure that important breakthroughs, technological advancements, data and practical techniques are shared among the global cardiology community with speed and with expert insights.
Every stage, specialty or learning style
The seven ESC subspecialty associations, 15 working groups and six councils help target resources to the right audience. Many members choose a Combined Membership that delivers all the broader benefits of ESC Professional Membership with more focused benefits from their association.
All members – ESC Professional, Association or Combined – who are in training or under 40 can join at a substantially reduced fee. They also automatically become part of an active and growing ESC Young Community that is tailored to meet the specific needs of early-career professionals. Grants and fellowship opportunities feature, as does the new innovative ESC Mentoring programme.
Attendees at the congress can find out more about which type of membership is right for them at the ESC Membership Stand in the ESC Exchange Area. It is also here that ESC Board Councillor for Membership, Professor Christian Hassager, will be on hand to answer your questions about membership on Saturday and Sunday. He will also provide more information for those interested in applying for the prestigious Fellow of the ESC (FESC) designation.

ESC Membership Stand in the ESC Exchange Area
"As a member of the ESC for over 20 years, I have experienced the benefits in terms of my own learning and development, and have felt the unique kinship that comes with being part of such a vibrant community. ESC Membership really does have something for everyone. Join me at the stand if you want to know more about how the ESC can support you. And, if you can help our community, we’d love you to get involved.”
Volunteering counts
The decisions about which resources are needed by the ESC community and how they should be offered are made by dedicated volunteers ‘on the ground’ who see the knowledge and practice gaps first-hand. They invest in helping to direct and develop the ESC’s vast educational and professional development offering. More than 3,000 volunteers play a critical role in the ESC’s mission while developing useful experience and invaluable connections around the world at the same time.
Interested in volunteering? Talk to the Welcome Desk staff in the Exchange Area, or write to volunteer@escardio.org.
